I just made a directory "Sound" -- but it's only a model; please use the files in Virtual Theatre Forum website for your own submissions.

The same with the Images directory.

I have to make a new page "Vertical Narratives"

Intro

. . .
This is indeed show-in-progress! The process is the show. On the web, of course. In real time and in this virtual space... It is "live"?

"Virtual Theatre" is somewhat between theatre and film. Not many plays are suitable for it. So far, the best results I got with the "Thee Sisters" (because of the set and the nature of Cheklhov's writing). Alas, I had to do my own adaptation/translation to make it copyright free (for me).

Second, the nature of vTheatre is to be between Method Acting (camera) and Epic Theatre (interactive aspect). So, actors must know how to do both. CUs (Method) and LS...

Third, the small screen (monitor).

Summary

The Note I posted on Fri. Nov. 30 2001 to vTheatre eGroup:

We open the live show tonight, but I have to go intro the post-production period right away (before the Spring "Dangerous Liaisons" starts). Actors, what you see on the screen behind the Shakespeare's desk are some images we intend to use for the webshow. I made a new directory at Hamlet 2002 where I will posting the notes for the cyber-HamletDreams.

Basically, I want the cyber-audience to do what the jury/chorus does via internet. Also, I want the cyber-public to have the chance to rearrange the narrative the way they like (hyper-text lets them to come with their own composition; we will have the competion of the cyber-directors over the next and maybe 2003 -- letting them compose and present their narratives).

Also, they will come with their own images and sounds (in aditions to the ones we download).

Of course, you are welcome to stay and participate, but in order for me not to create another list, I plan to use vtheatre forum for this cyber-projects. In short, expect the new faces and different agenda on this group (after I will post the call for virtual directors). If you read vtheatre pages, you know we try the new media applications in theatre and, since I am teaching Fundamentals of Directions in the Spring, I want to see how much directing could be done in cyber-space.

You can check the early archives of vtheatre on the nature and aesthetics of this "new creature"...

For A Child
A fleeting stay - a lasting memory.

An angel visited the green earth, and took a flower away.

Awaiting the touch of a little hand, and the smile of a little face.

Blossomed on earth to bloom in heaven.

Called by one who loves him so dearly.

Children are an heritage of the Lord.

Children are the keys to paradise.

Children bring their own love with them when they come.

For of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.

God's garden has need of little flowers.

His was a man's courage.

Hush, my dear, be still and slumber;
Jolly angels guard your bed.

Let thy child rest in hope and rise in glory.

Little Boy Blue has gone away.

Little Bo Peep has gone away.

Lord, we give you our littlest angel.

No jewel is as perfect as the innocence of childhood.

Oh, for boyhood's time of June
Crowding years into one brief moon.

Our Baby Angel

Our littlest angel who went back to heaven.

Remembering a tiny angel.

Sleep undisturbed within the peaceful shrine
Till angels wake thee with a note like thine.

Sleep, my little one, sleep.

So small, so sweet, so soon.

The child is the father of man.

The dutifulness of children is the foundation of all virtue.

What would the world be to us if children were no more?
