How does it fit the virtual theatre direction? Evolution of songs, costumes, colors [ from Act 1 to Act 2: they make love during the intermission ]NotesImages from my Don Juan Production * The Sun and the Moon: The last real battle that Petruchio and Katherine has is about what is lighting the sky, the sun or the moon. It is the middle of the day, so Katherine says it’s the sun. Petruchio on the other hand tells her it is the moon. The moon tells that Katherine is still in “the dark” or “nighttime” about her behaviors and duties as a wife. When she finally agrees with him, Petruchio says that it is the sun after all, symbolizing the fact that she has realized her duties as a wife.

Present day -- Induction (Improv: Shakespeare and Voices)![]()
Should different characters be dressed in different time periods? Sounds like a carnival idea -- coctail of times, mixture, grotesque.
The nudes are for the screen (male and female fantacies projected)
The chorus -- servants, street, square, mall, stadium...
The public -- biomechanics principles.
The key images? The "Shakespeare" character (he/she plays Grumio) -- in love with both, Kate and Pete. Commedia -- who? Writes scenes, while directing. Changes it in front of us. Addresses himself to the public. In the house, jumps on stage -- between the scenes. Or get on the screen -- live cameras.
Parody of "Shakespeare in Love"!
He (female actress) sings and dances (gay, angel, devil, no sexuality as in every artist).
Actor, how can we know your face?
Many masks -- poetry = true face?

Shake/Grumio (Sonnets XII):
"When I do count the clock that tells the time, And see the brave day sunk in hideous night; When I behold the violet past prime, And sable curls all silver'd o'er with white; When lofty trees I see barren of leaves Which erst from heat did canopy the herd, And summer's green all girded up in sheaves Borne on the bier with white and bristly beard, Then of thy beauty do I question make, That thou among the wastes of time must go, Since sweets and beauties do themselves forsake And die as fast as they see others grow; And nothing 'gainst Time's scythe can make defence Save breed, to brave him when he takes thee hence."Do I have live one CU camera on stage (who shoots?) -- wedding video production.
What about the bedroom scenes? More contemporary references -- "Girls Gone Wild" and other junk (list).
The street chorus: what are they selling? Live commercials, mixture of the London circa 1600 and TV culture.
Notre Dame de Paris: Adam & Eve, The Fall (instead of God, the female snake in between). Does devil unite or separate them? The Fall is the moment of defining genders. Intermission -- the "hot sex" we do not see (sounds?) What is on the screen? Climatic music, several takes... What kind? Classic?
Comments by Shake before the intermission curtain? Live -- during the break (clowns = Pete' servants). As in 12th Night?
Sex jokes?

Frank was excited about his new rifle and decided to try bear hunting. He travels up to Alaska, spots a small brown bear and shoots it. Right afterwards, there was a tap on his shoulder and he turned around to see a big black bear. The black bear said, "That was a very bad mistake. That was my cousin and I'm going to give you two choices. Either I maul you to death or we have sex." After considering briefly, Frank decided to accept the latter alternative. So the black bear has his way with Frank.
Even though he felt sore for two weeks, Frank soon recovered and vowed revenge. He headed out on another trip back to Alaska where he found the black bear and shot it dead.
Right afterwards, there was another tap on his shoulder. This time a huge grizzly bear stood right next to him. The grizzly said, "That was a big mistake, Frank. That was my cousin and you've got two choices. Either I maul you to death or we have rough sex." Again, Frank thought it was better to cooperate with the grizzly bear than be mauled to death. So the grizzly has his way with Frank.
Although he survived, it took several months before Frank fully recovered. Now Frank is completely outraged, so he headed back to Alaska and managed to track down the grizzly bear and shoot it.
He felt sweet revenge, but then moments later, there was a tap on his shoulder. He turned around to find a giant polar bear standing there. The polar bear looked at him and said, "Admit it Frank, you don't come here for the hunting, do you?" (What is that?)
They eat (real food), throw drinks at each other (Bakhtin, again).
Season -- what is this carnival about? Venice images again. Equinoxes -- either of the two times each year (as about March 21 and September 23) when the sun crosses the equator and day and night are everywhere of equal length
